FAMILY LAW

We are Changing Our Name and Here’s Why That’s Exciting for You

Queensland Family Law Practice will be dedicated to all things ‘family law’ allowing Forge Legal to continue with other areas of law.

When the law firm was originally created it was with the intention to provide a complete service to people requiring support in Family law and thus was called Queensland Family Law Practice.

Over the years it became apparent that Family law issues regularly morphed into other areas and in order to provide holistic legal support we needed to expand our practice to incorporate Commercial law and Estates representing our clients throughout Australia. With that in mind we merged with 2 other law firms, Rhonda Penny Lawyers and Robin Thompson law and re-established our name as Forge Legal.

The firm has grown and evolved into 2 distinct fields, Family law and Business & Employment law. As such, we feel it is time that the firm reflects this development.

So going forward Forge Legal will be solely dedicated to Business and Employment Law while our name of origin, Queensland Family Law Practice will be solely focussed on supporting people through family law and estate matters.

It brings me a beautiful sense of nostalgia to revisit our original name’s sake because it was the name that reflected who I have always placed as my priority, Families in Queensland.

While our logo remains the same, we have rebranded our website to make it more modern and in line with our core value, ‘We’ve Got You!’

It’s also an exciting time as our dedicated Family Law brand also elevates our service offerings to give you a broader range of what you need to avoid Family court, saving you money and your family emotional stress.

Our new services include mediation, arbitration, parental co-ordination, and family dispute resolution.

Together with our family friendly offices, including a children’s playroom and free parking, we offer you more flexibility with a new website www.qflp.com.au and a new online booking system to ensure you have every convenience so you can easily access all your needed family law support and solutions locally.

So, without further ado, allow me to reintroduce… ourselves.

Representing Yourself in Family Court in Australia

Need to go to court but can’t afford a lawyer? We can still help you! We offer online training for people just like you so you can represent yourself in court.

Did you know that 30 to 40% of people are now representing themselves in Family Court because they can’t afford lawyers! Holy Cow!!!

What the stats don’t tell you is how many people are unsuccessful when they represent themselves. Given that people are not born with an internal law degree I can only imagine it isn’t great.

No one is doing anything to fix the problem. The Courts are no help. There are so many rules and forms and something called “admissible evidence” that you are all just expected to know.

If you know me then you know that it drives me insane when people just stand by and do nothing.

So to hell with it. If no one else is going to do something then I will.

I was going to hold off launching my new innovation but frankly, it just can’t wait. People need help now!

So I am going to give away my trade secrets. This is the stuff that I have won multiple cases and awards for. This is 20 years of my life’s work and refinement that I am going to give away. It is the intellectual property lawyers hold sacred.

I am personally launching 2 courses to give you all the tools you need to prepare your own Consent Orders and represent yourself in Family Court.

THIS IS BIG – I am personally running these courses.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • 3 sessions of 1-hour online course complete with example documents that I use every day
  • 1 private 20 min session with me
  • Exclusive Access to our VIP Family Law Facebook group with live Q&A sessions with me weekly
  • Free subscription to our innovative new online platform Nolawyers.com.au for 3 months
  • Access to a recording of the Course so that you can watch it at your own pace.

At the completion of these courses, you will have all you need to draft your Court documents and know what to do when you go to court.

Normally my clients would invest $30,000.00 for this material.   But because I have a real bugbear about how bad the Family Court is getting I am going to do it just for $199 per course.

REALLY IMPORTANT  – Because I want these Courses to be interactive so that you can get as much value out of them as possible I am limiting the number in each course.

So if you think either or both of these courses could help you then jump on and sign up ASAP!

I look forward to demystifying the Family Court system with you.

National Domestic Violence Assistance Packages

Help people fleeing violent relationships by donating your goods or services to provide a support bundle including everything a person would need to protect themselves and get them established.

“Alone, we can do so little; together we can do so much” – Helen Keller

Together we can make a difference

Forge Legal, to provide greater levels of support, has reached out to many local community-based businesses as well as large national corporates to work together to make a difference. Together we can create ‘DV Assist Packages’.

These DV Assist Packages will provide immediate support by the supply of goods and services to those that have recently separated from DV relationships. These community offerings, help provide basic services to overcome some of the initial challenges, so victims can focus on rebuilding their lives, and their children.

Forge Legal continues to reach out to businesses nationally to help improve and enhance these packages. If you or your business would like to assist to make a positive community impact and contribute goods or services such as new clothes, apartment accommodation, groceries, phones, computer, school supplies, toys or anything to assist a family fleeing with only the clothes on their back for the DV packages, please fill out the form below.

We can help people escaping violence on Day 1

You Will Make It

For most victims of domestic violence, one of the more difficult days is ‘Day 1’.

They have finally found the courage and conviction to make the decision to break free, only to realise they have nothing.

With no support and no resources to get back on their feet, sometimes, the only thing they have are the clothes on their back.
